Hello Beautiful!

I'M JOHANNA

I'm a faith-based women's coach and the founder of The Selah Glow.  But before any title, I'm simply a woman who has experienced God's faithfulness through some of life's most beautiful and most difficult seasons.

I'm 42 years old, and some days I feel like I've lived a hundred lives. I've moved countries, navigated divorce, rebuilt my life more than once, and had the incredible privilege of raising two amazing children. They have walked beside me through some of my darkest seasons and witnessed versions of me that were hurting, exhausted, and simply trying to survive.  One of my greatest motivations is to show them that your story doesn't have to end where it began and that God can redeem every part of our story.

For years, I struggled with low self-worth, people-pleasing, and believing my value depended on what I could do, achieve, or who chose me. Those beliefs shaped the relationships I accepted and the life I settled for. I found myself repeating painful patterns, accepting less than God had for me, and constantly striving to earn love, acceptance, and validation.

Everything began to change the moment I fully surrendered my life to God, followed Jesus wholeheartedly, and chose to trust Him completely. It was in that place of surrender that He gently began revealing the deeper wounds He wanted to heal.

One of the greatest revelations of my healing journey was realising that while I couldn't change what others had done to me, I could begin healing the ways I had been abandoning myself.  I realised I lacked healthy boundaries, my standards were shaped by a fear of rejection, and I often sacrificed my own peace to keep people in my life. I tried to appear confident, but I discovered that true confidence isn't something you perform, it's something you embody.

As I renewed my mind with Gods truth, He restored my identity.  Healing became less about becoming someone new and more about returning to the woman God created me to be before fear, rejection, trauma, self-abandonment, and survival convinced me otherwise.  Along the way, I discovered that boundaries are an expression of self-respect, standards protect the life God has for us, and not everyone deserves access to our heart, our time, our energy, or our peace.

I also rediscovered my feminine essence, not as something I needed to create or perform, but as a beautiful expression of God's design. I learned that true femininity isn't about perfection or appearances. It's about living with peace, confidence, wisdom, emotional maturity, healthy boundaries, the ability to receive, and a secure identity.

Today, I live from a place of peace instead of survival. I no longer chase approval or abandon myself to keep others comfortable. Instead, I choose alignment over people-pleasing, peace over performance, and God's truth over fear.

Through my own healing journey, I discovered my purpose: to help women heal from self-abandonment, rediscover their God-given identity in Christ, reclaim their worth, renew their minds, embrace their feminine essence, and step into the power and authority God has given them.

I'm still healing, still learning, and still allowing God to refine me every day.  Everything I've overcome and continue to overcome has become part of the hope I now share with other women.  My heart is to help women stop merely surviving and start truly thriving. To help them heal from the inside out, break unhealthy patterns, cultivate peace, and confidently become the women God created them to be.

If you're ready to stop settling, choose yourself, and step into the life God has for you, I would be honoured to walk alongside you.

With love,

Johanna
